Tournament Rules and Regulations
Tournament Format :
The tournament will follow an all-play-all format, in which each team plays against all other teams and collects points accordingly.
The top four teams will advance to the Final Four:
- 1st vs 4th
- 2nd vs 3rd
The winners will play for 1st and 2nd place, and the losing teams will play for 3rd and 4th place.
Team Rosters :
- Each team must have a minimum of 8 players and a maximum of 12 players.
- All player names must be submitted to the organizers at least 3 days before the first tournament match.
- Adding players is only allowed before the Final Four, and only if fewer than 12 players were initially registered.
- A team will be disqualified if it uses an ineligible player who is not on the official roster.

- All coaches are responsible for ensuring that players carry valid identification (Emirates ID, passport, or driving license).
- Game format: 4 quarters of 10 minutes each. The clock will stop on all fouls and violations. A 10-minute warm-up period will be provided before each game.
- Grace period: A 15-minute grace period will be allowed. If a team does not have at least 5 players ready to start after this time, the game will be forfeited.
- Each team must always have a coach on the bench (the coach may also be a player).
- The following individuals are allowed on the bench: Coach, Assistant Coach, registered players, Team Manager, and Medical Support (must be above 16 years old).
- Teams are responsible for the behavior of their fans, especially regarding negative comments or actions toward officials and committee members.
- Team captains/managers are the official representatives of their teams and are responsible for their team’s conduct.
- Players may play for only one team.
- Each team must register and play under an official team name.
- All teams must wear matching numbered basketball jerseys during games.
- Basketball shoes must be worn at all times.
- Once the game schedule is agreed upon and published, it cannot be changed under any circumstances.
- All players must be born in 1985 or earlier. Any age violation will result in a game forfeit.
- Coaches are responsible for ensuring that all players understand the tournament rules and regulations.
- The Tournament Committee will make the final decision on all grievances, including protests and eligibility matters .
Conduct :
- All participants, coaches, and fans must refrain from using profanity or verbal abuse toward players, coaches, fans, referees, and tournament staff.
- The Tournament Manager and staff are not responsible for any personal items that are left behind, lost, or stolen.
- Any destruction or damage to the court will be dealt with severely by the proper authorities. The responsible player/team will pay for damages and will be automatically eliminated from the tournament.
- Insurance/Injuries: The tournament sponsor and organizers do not provide insurance for players, fans, or officials. Emergency medical services will be called in case of injury unless declined by the individual. All medical costs are the responsibility of the individual.
- Fighting is defined as any attempt to strike an opponent with arms, hands, legs, feet, or any combative action by players, coaches, or team personnel. Any individual involved will be immediately suspended from the game, with further penalties determined by the Tournament Committee.
- If any team, player, or coach is disqualified from the tournament, no refunds will be issued.
Entry Fee and Rewards :
- The entry fee is AED 4,900 + VAT and must be paid at least one week before the first game. Cash, cheque, and bank transfers are accepted. Entry fees are non-refundable.

- 1st Place: Trophy and medals
- 2nd Place: Trophy and medals
- 3rd Place: Trophy and medals
- Player of the Game awards will be given to outstanding players selected by the Tournament Committee based on performance, statistics, and sportsmanship.
I/We, as a team, have read and agree to abide by the Rules & Regulations governing this basketball tournament. I/We fully understand and agree that the Tournament officials and volunteers will not tolerate verbal abuse or physical threats.
I/We also understand that the Tournament organizers and facilities are not responsible for any injuries or accidents that occur during the tournament, or for lost or damaged personal items.
I/We waive any and all liability against the Tournament Organizer, Tournament staff, trainers, volunteers, sponsors, and the owners/operators of any facility used by the tournament. As coach of this team, I confirm my acceptance of the above by signing below.
